On June 8, the NGO “Young Agents of Change,” in collaboration with the Chernihiv Regional Youth Center, held its second exhibition as part of the international INSIGHT project.
During the event, participants heard stories collected by our team and journalists during interviews at the Zhytomyr and Kolomyia correctional facilities. These stories recount the experiences of people who are serving sentences or returning to their communities after release, and encourage reflection on what often remains outside the scope of news headlines.
In addition to visiting the exhibition, participants took part in an interactive quiz, during which they discussed resocialization, stigma, social stereotypes, and the role of the community in supporting people after their release.
It was especially meaningful for us to see the young people’s interest and willingness to engage in open conversation about topics that are often considered uncomfortable or overlooked in society.
We would like to sincerely thank the Chernihiv Regional Youth Center for its cooperation and support in organizing the exhibition, and all the participants—both male and female—for their enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to engage in important discussions.
The INSIGHT project is being implemented Young Agents of Change in cooperation with AY Institute, Prirašytos rankos, Scambieuropei, Brodoto and is funded by the European Union.
