On June 18, 2025, as part of the project of the NGO Association Kebet, an art picnic was held at the Bila Tserkva Humanitarian and Pedagogical College, combining body mapping, creativity, and English to develop emotional awareness among young people in Bila Tserkva. The event brought together 22 participants aged 15-20, more than half of whom were internally displaced youth.
During the art picnic, the participants were learning:
Identify your emotions.
To express oneself creatively through art techniques.
Communicate in English by practicing it in creative activities.
The event was an important step towards creating a safe space for self-discovery, where everyone could share their feelings, experiences and feelings, as well as receive support from their peers. Priority in the selection of participants was given to IDP youth, which made it possible to create a unique experience of mutual support and empathy between local youth and IDPs.
The art picnic contributed to the development of social cohesion and mutual support, where participants, regardless of their background, learned to listen to each other, share ideas and support in difficult situations.
