A week of learning, reflection and exchange of experience in the heart of Italy was exactly what the international Insight training on crime journalism, ethics and media literacy was all about.
The main topics of the training:
Coverage of criminal topics through the prism of human rights;
Ethical standards in dealing with conflict stories;
Media literacy and countering manipulation;
Practical tools for investigative journalism;
Balance between the public interest and the right to privacy.
The participants mastered the topics through:
interactive sessions and modeling of real cases;
work in international groups;

creating their own media projects.
For Ukrainian participants, this training was especially important as a platform for presenting the Ukrainian experience of working in the context of war, discussing the role of the media in shaping public opinion, and mutual learning with colleagues from other countries.
