From October 12 to 19, 2025, young people from Ukraine
, Italy
, Austria
, the Czech Republic
, and Hungary
gathered in Treviso to talk about war, humanity, and the shared history of Europe.
The Youth on the Front Line project has become a space where the past meets the present—where stories from World War I resonate with today’s experiences.
During the week, participants:
visited museums and memorials, learned about the events of World War I, and analyzed how war affects society then and now;
discussed articles of the Geneva Convention, human rights, and democratic values;
participated in training sessions, discussions, and creative tasks, learning to talk simply about complex issues.
And what…
would it be without cultural evenings and our Ukrainian varenyky!
After all, history is not only about wars and conflicts, but also about preserving, sharing, and nurturing traditions.
The young people returned home not only with suitcases full of impressions, but also with a sense of shared mission—to preserve memory, build peace, and remain humane even in times of trial.
