May 25 – June 1
Recently, the youth workers returned from the picturesque location of F’estival (Moldova), where the international training “Stronger Together” took place within the SYWOR project (“Stronger Together: Strengthening Youth Workers and Organizations for Displaced Youth Integration and Resilience).
For seven intense days, participants from different countries shared experiences, learned, reflected and explored new approaches to working with young people, including IDPs and those with fewer opportunities.
The main topics of the training:
– how to organize events for young people from vulnerable groups;
– tools for integrating IDP youth into new communities;
– methods of emotional support and creating a safe space;
– resources to increase engagement and active participation;
– the role of youth work in strengthening social cohesion.
Training methods included:
– interactive sessions and modeling of real-life situations;
– intercultural work in teams;
– discussion of ethical dilemmas in youth work;
– creation of author’s workshops;
– field visits to the Center for Support of Children and Families in Chisinau and to the office of the MilleniuM Training and Development Institute – an inspiring experience!
The youth workers not only expanded their knowledge, but also formed a strong professional community where solidarity, understanding, and support are not just words, but concrete actions.
We thank everyone who was a part of this event!
The SYWOR project is being implemented by Young Agents of Change 🇺🇦 together with partners GYDA 🇬🇪, EIG 🇹🇷, MilleniuM 🇲🇩, EDS-FNS 🇵🇱 and is funded by the European Union.
