Networking of youth workers in Kyiv: presentation of the international project SYWOR.

On December 14, 2024, the official opening of the international project “Stronger Together: Strengthening Youth Workers and Organisations for Displaced Youth Integration and Resilience (SYWOR)” took place in Kyiv. The event brought together youth workers from different regions of Ukraine to discuss the challenges of working with IDP youth, network, and find new ideas and opportunities.

Vladyslav Yatsuk addressed the participants of the event, thanking the youth workers for their work for Ukrainian youth and their contribution to building stability and development in Ukraine even in times of war, and expressing support for the project from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.

In addition, Kateryna Zhdanova, Coordinator of Opportunities in the Fields of Youth and Sports of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine & HERE team, presented the opportunities of the Erasmus+ program for Ukrainian youth and youth organizations for 2025.

🟡 During the networking, participants:

  • learned about the idea, development history and plans for the implementation of the SYWOR project;
  • discussed available resources and challenges in youth work, in particular with IDP youth;
  • shared experience and successful practices from different communities;
  • studied new tools and methods for involving IDP youth;
  • formed new connections and generated ideas for joint initiatives for youth.
