The Green Horizon project is an environmental initiative that brought together young people in Istanbul, Turkey, from September 6 to 14, 2024. Participants had a unique opportunity to visit a waste recycling plant, where they learned about the recycling process and were inspired to make changes in their own lives, deciding to avoid plastic and other unnatural materials in their daily activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the activities of the project was also canoeing, during which the participants investigated the pollution of the Bosphorus and discussed the impact of human activities on the environment. In addition, young people had the opportunity to visit a unique botanical garden, located in the heart of one of the busiest districts of Istanbul. There were sessions on environmental topics, where the participants gained new knowledge and skills, and also took part in planting trees on the university grounds, creating a new green area that will remain for many years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Green Horizon project inspired participants to take active actions to protect the environment and preserve the planet’s resources, and became an excellent example of international cooperation and interaction of young people for a common ecological future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
